1. I’ve actually been watching Les Vampires recently — watched the first six (of ten) episodes in one sitting and hopefully I can carve out time this weekend to watch the rest of it.

    Despite being made in 1915, it still speaks to a 21st century audience raised on Hitchcock and paranoia. Great stuff.

    So good, in fact, that I bought two more Louis Feuillade serials — Fantomas and Judex. I’m hoping to blog about Feuillade by Thanksgiving, but we’ll see …
