Movies on the list that I’d already seen but re-watched because I didn’t remember them well, or had just forgotten to log:

148. PARTIE DE CAMPAGNE (Jean Renoir / 1936 / France / 40m / BW)
199. MESHES OF THE AFTERNOON (Maya Deren / 1943 / USA / 15m / BW)
273. VOYAGE DANS LA LUNE, LE (Georges Méliès / 1902 / France / 14m / BW)
356. WRITTEN ON THE WIND (Douglas Sirk / 1956 / USA / 99m / Col)
438. BOUDU SAVED FROM DROWNING (Jean Renoir / 1932 / France / 87m / BW)
452. DR. MABUSE, THE GAMBLER (Fritz Lang / 1922 / Germany / 270m / BW)
662. SPIONE (Fritz Lang / 1928 / Germany / 90m / BW)
998. WAY DOWN EAST (D.W. Griffith / 1920 / USA / 119m / BW)

As usual, I have no deep thoughts or worthwhile insights on these films as a whole, though I can make a few personal observations: I still love Jean Renoir, somehow forget how terrific Godard is until I watch another of his films, I still hate classic Disney movies, and hope I never have to see another Carl Theodor Dreyer film again.

My best to you all — see you in the new year!
